Just in time for summer: Our 2008 100 % Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is fermented in the classic Loire fashion with 90% tank-fermentation and 10% barrel-fermentation with indigenous yeast. This sun kissed coloured wine has flavors of lemon, verbena, apricots, and not quite ripe Rainier cherries. The wine was kept on its fermentation lees until bottling to add a creaminess on the mid-palate. Enjoy pool side or with grilled lemon peel shrimp.

$35.00 |

Stolpman Vineyard’s 12 acres of Roussanne, the primary varietal of this wine, represents a significant portion of the 165 total planted acres in all of California. The proprietary name L’Avion (The Airplane in French) refers to the long narrow stretch of land where the Roussanne is grown, once used as an air strip by local ranchers. The 2006 L’Avion is a blend of 90% Roussanne and 10% Viognier. The wine shows a rich soft mouth feel with flavors of tropical fruit and a bouquet of honeysuckle. Wine Advocate: 94 points

| 2005 Angeli Blanc |
$40.00 |
|
When barrel-tasting Roussanne destined for L'Avion, we tasted a magical wine not yet done fermenting. We decided to keep the wine separate from L'Avion, and we named it "Angeli Blanc" after "Angeli", our most prized Syrah. Left with about 2% residual sugar and a hint of frizzante, the wine is the ultimate for pairing with spicey food.

As our Estate Syrah is a cohesive blend of grapes picked from throughout the vineyard, our Hilltops Syrah originates from distinct blocks- literally on the hilltops. With striking notes of blueberry, honeysuckle and smoke on the nose, our Hilltops has provocative character and silky mouth feel. Enjoy this vintage with a puff pastry baked brie drizzled in a port reduction sauce. For the more patient purchasers of this bottle, lay it down for 7 to 8 years.

| 2006 LaCroce |
$60.00 |
|
La Croce, Italian for “The Cross,” is a co-fermentation of 50% Syrah and 50% Sangiovese. Named for the crossing of two cultures, Syrah from France and Sangiovese from Italy, this wine is crushed by foot then barrel aged for 20 months. The wine blends the vibrancy, red fruit and tannic strength of Sangiovese with the lush dark fruits of cooler climate Syrah. This wine is a rare blend but very food friendly; try it paired with grilled steaks, roasted lamb or a mature hard cheese. Robert Parker of the Wine Advocate rated this wine 90 points. 575 six-packs produced
