Fresh Liveliness + Supple Texture = Wining Combination

Robust flavors and smooth, coating richness define the 2014 vintage. Warmer night time temperatures added richness and depth to bright, fresh fruit profiles. The pleasant, happy year in Ballard Canyon shows through to the wines.

2014 Estate Syrah and 2014 Estate Roussanne represent almost every exposure within in the hills of Stolpman Vineyards. Our 18 acres of Roussanne stretch over three different blocks and our 92 acres of Syrah are divided into dozens of hillsides and hilltops. These two wines best capture the character of any given vintage.

Fresh + Rich
What better combination, fresh liveliness with supple, pleasing texture?
2014 Roussanne exudes lemon zest and fills the mouth. Surely the most voluptuous Estate Roussanne bottled to date.
Bright Tangerine and Cranberry sing a note above 2014 Estate Syrah’s dense core – Darker and more viscous than the lighter hued 2012 and 2013 wines.

Age Worthy
Both wines were bottled un-fined and un-filtered. While they are already profoundly delicious, both wines will develop more nuance over the next couple years. For now, the primary flavors are seductive enough to call 2014 one Stolpman Vineyards’ absolute best.
