CLUB FAQ


 

How much does it cost to join the Wine Club?
There is no cost to join Stolpman Vineyards’ Wine Club.  Members will only be automatically billed two times per year based on the level of Club Membership joined.

How do the benefits work, when do they begin?
Benefits will be activated immediately upon joining the Club! Depending on the club level joined, members receive complimentary tastings by appointment, 20-33% savings on wine purchases and merchandise, access to exclusive sales & discounted shipping, library wines and invitations to events.

How often will I be billed?
Members are automatically billed two times per year, in March and September.

How long does my membership last?
Your membership lasts as long as you would like it to! We require a minimum of two shipments (1 year minimum), or members will be subjected to a $50 cancellation fee.

How will I know when I have been charged?
Stolpman Vineyards sends various emails notifying members of the upcoming charge, giving ample time to update any information.

How can I make changes to my account?
Members have complete access to their account information through the Stolpman website under the Edit Account tab.

Can I add bottles to my 4 or 6 bottle allocation?
Absolutely! Members are offered a one-time, 33% discount when adding wines to their Shipment. All members receive an email when the sale begins as well as a last chance reminder.  On top of the deeper discount, adding Pre-Release bottles does not increase the cost of shipping.

What happens if my shipment is sent back to the winery?
UPS, FedEx and GLS will make three delivery attempts before returning the wine to us. If the wine is returned to the winery, we can reship the order for a pre-designated shipping cost. We suggest that members provide an address that will assure a successful delivery, such as a place of business, with someone over the age of 21 present to sign for your order.

What if I end up with a corked or damaged bottle?
In the unlikely event that a bottle arrives damaged or corked (we inspect every bottle before shipment), notify us as soon as possible and we will replace the damaged merchandise.  Please note that we do not replace bottles over 5 years of age.

If I choose to be a “pick-up member,” how will I know that my wines are available to pick up?
All pick-up members will receive an email notification about the Wine Club charge as well as the release date which you can pick up your wine at our Tasting Room in Los Olivos. If you are unable to pick up your release after 90 days, we will ship the wine to your Billing Address (unless other arrangements have been made). Shipping charges will be applied to the primary credit card on file.

Can I have someone else pick up my release?
Yes, friends or family members may pick up club releases and orders. Please send us an email or give us a call with the name of the person and we will notate the approval on your account.

Can I skip releases?
Yes! Once Members have taken a minimum of 2 shipments, you’re entitled to skip 1 shipment per year.

What is the cancellation policy?
We hate to see a member go, but if you wish to cancel your membership, we ask that you give notice two weeks before the next club release. We require members to receive two releases before cancellation, or they will be charged a $50 cancellation fee and/or possible reversal of club benefits. If we do not receive notice prior to two weeks before the next release, you will be required to accept the current release.

What address should I use for shipping?
We suggest that members provide an address that will guarantee a successful delivery, such as a place of business, with someone over the age of 21 present to sign for your order.

How do I find out what is included in the upcoming release?
All members will receive an email 6 weeks before billing.  The email will inform members as to which wines are in the release and any upcoming important dates.  Current releases may be found HERE.

If I do not want to receive some of the wines in the upcoming release, can I replace it with another wine?
Pickup members are welcome to substitute wines while picking up shipments at the Tasting Room. For shipping customers, we do our best to accommodate substitution requests based on current inventory, all swaps are subject to availability. Please email sarah@stolpmanvineyards.com at least 2 weeks prior to billing to inquire.  All swaps must be equal or greater value.

What is the delivery process?
Our default shipping method is via UPS Ground (1-7 business days). An adult 21 or older must be present to sign for the package upon delivery. If you would like to adjust your shipping method, contact shipping@stolpmanvineyards.com.

Can my club benefits be extended to someone else?
Benefits are only extended to the Wine Club Member whose name is on the account and we ask that members are present in order to extend any complimentary tastings or discounts to guests.  Memberships can be gifted to friends and family for specified periods of time – see our Gift Membership section for more information.

Can you share a membership?
We do not offer shared memberships at this time but you can always gift a membership! See more information about gift memberships below.

Can you Gift a Wine Club Membership?
Yes, CLICK HERE to begin the Gift Membership process. Please have the recipient’s name, billing & shipping addresses, email, and birthdate as well as the length of gift membership.
