1.5 L Magnum of La Cuadrilla

The best "reserve" lot of the greater Cuadrilla cuvee.  Only bottled in 1.5L magnums to prolong the life of this well-structured, age-worthy red blend.   

Only mature plantings from the 1990s made the cut into the 2019 Padrino: 70% Block 5 Syrah planted in 1995 for smooth depth, 15% Block 1 Grenache planted in 1992 for structure and backbone, and 15% Block 3 Sangiovese planted in 1994 for juicy brightness.

As our Cuadrilla bottling has evolved so has the crew's taste in wine.  Alongside the fruit-forward, supple deliciousness of La Cuadrilla, the crew yearned for a world-class, collectible bottling to proudly share with their family and friends.  

Ruben Solorzano's mighty torso again appears on the label in 2019.   The Padrino (Godfather) of la Cuadrilla, Ruben created la Cuadrilla to train the crew in fine-wine farming.  Because he never got the 2016 cuadrilla label tattooed as he had promised, this Magnum label ensures that the photoshopped tattoos - designed by Creative Director Kari Crist - will live forever in the form of these magnums in our cellars.
